Likferd is the fourth and final full‑length studio album from Norwegian black metal pioneers Windir, originally released on March 27, 2003. This landmark album — whose title translates roughly to Funeral — marked a darker and more intense direction for the band while still embracing elements of their unique Sognametal style rooted in Norwegian history and folklore. It was the last official Windir release before the tragic passing of frontman Terje “Valfar” Bakken, making Likferd both a powerful artistic statement and a poignant testament to his legacy.
